Vintage 1960s US Navy Fouled Anchor Pin - 10 Karat Gold in Doylestown, PA
Vintage US Navy pin in the shape of a fouled anchor - that is, an anchor entangled or "fouled" with rope - a venerable military symbol that dates back to the Lord Admiral of England in the 16th century. This particular device is worn on the right collar by Midshipman Third Class of the US Naval Academy. Made of 10-karat gold and fastens with a rollover safety clasp. Like-new condition. Never worn.
